I’ve been a story teller my entire life. Call it a coping skill, call it a passion, call it - just kids playing around. I’m pretty sure it tends to be a little of all the above. Either way I can remember looking for ways to tell stories ever since I was a little kid. It started with drawing, then legos, then I got my first camera. It was this little point-and-shoot that used AA batteries and had an SD card with less than a gig on it. I took that thing everywhere I went. Taking pictures of everything until I discovered the record button and started making videos. I thought of every excuse I could to use it. It changed the game for me!

There was a moment in time when I realized that I needed more. I was nearing the end of my time at college and was trying to figure out my next move. California was it. Which came in handy because my now-wife was from there and we were dating at the time. I took a bet on myself and my future. It was probably one of the toughest decisions I had ever made but given the chance I’d do it all over again. I went to grad school for counseling psychology. As I was going to school, I found friends who helped me create, more--they helped me to find myself.

Our stories hold our cure. That’s what I believe. As well as we know ourselves, we still have so much to learn. The more I’ve learned about human behavior and the more I’ve gotten to know people, especially creative people, the more I have sensed a need. As a creative, I have felt misunderstood. As a therapist, I have felt the urgency to understand. So Creator’s Therapy is a series of conversations, sessions, notions, and content - geared in an effort to help cultivate other creatives, forward thinkers, entrepreneurs, and the rest of us misfit lot that need to feel like there are others just like us out there. Creator’s Therapy is more than a content platform, it’s a community. A tribe.

So what do you say? Let’s start the hustle.
